And let's not forget (as I was recently reminded) Lord of our health.

It is hard for vain man to let go of the reins. However, the rewards when you do are breathtaking.

Great reminder Bryan and very timely.

I agree!
We usually think of these "worldy vs. Godly" viewpoints as Christians against the world. Unfortunately, there is a growing trend of laxidasical Christianity that has taken a foothold in many "Christian" churches and circles. With watered down theology, they tend to try and befriend the world instead of impact the world. They say Christian things like "come as you are", but what they mean is "stay as you are". It's good for Christians to be friends to the world. But the Gospel "changes" people. We may meet people where they are, but we don't leave them there. Our theology is (and always has been) the reason and direction for our actions. It is NOT Christian to move away from theology because Truth might offend someone. Let's follow Brian's lead into the fray...not of our own wisdom, follow the Word.
